Creativity, floss and meditation

I plucked this article from the air a while ago. Since then it's been gatherine a little dust while I gather evidence.
But first a question for you. What is it that, after hearing all the evidence and professional advice in the world, gets you across the line?
My hygienist has been on at me for years to floss daily. If I’m honest I’m flat out brushing twice daily. In the end, it wasn’t his insistence or carefully structured spiel about why I should floss every day, it wasn’t a passing comment from a different hygienist about how her kids think it’s gross when she flosses while watching TV (and gets it done every day).

Farewell endurance, hello ease
Prune, snip, let go, weeding. Enough.
Perhaps it’s the nearing of my 30th birthday, perhaps it’s simply time, but I’m in a pruning phase at the moment.
Recently I made the decision to quit one of my gym classes and with it consecutive 5am starts and me comatose on the couch by 8pm on Tuesday nights. I traded in my 13 year old and long paid off faded red pink lancer for a newer VW golf which I’m loving (even the rear windscreen wipers that I couldn’t work out how to turn off once I’d accidentally turned them on).
For about a day I felt as bad leaving my trusty lancer with the dealer as I would have if I’d dropped my dog back at the pound (which we didn’t do though if he chews one more remote I’m going to have a hard time convincing Lee that he’s now a part of our family), until I pressed the remote unlock button and my new car winked at me. I knew then that things were going to be just fine.
